YORK HAVEN, Penn. (May 7) - Barry Klinedinst Motorsports and the Back-to-Back (2006/2007) Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Champion Jason Covert had to wait an extra week to get back to racing after mother nature wiped out the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events at Bedford Speedway and Hagerstown Speedway. But the following Thursday, May 1st, Covert set fast time and led all 40 laps at the $5,000 to win, Paul Sawyer Memorial at Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA.

"We actually set fast time," laughed Covert, "We all know that I'm not the best at qualifying but the car was just good all night, it's all a tribute to my guys, they bust their tails for Barry and I and we can't do any of this stuff without those guys…Barry, Bryan, Lou, Denny, Scott, Drew, Manson, Matt, Heather, Jaynelle, Carol, and Allison they all do so much and they are the one's that make us successful, the driver is weak link in this team."

At Bedford Speedway, the night after the team's big $5,000 win at VMS, Covert, as usual, pulled a terrible pill putting him at the tail of his heat race. However, Jason was able to slice and dice his way to the front and win the eight lap heat race putting him in the redraw for the feature event. Covert, pulled an eight to start eighth in the feature. Jason again worked his way through the field but cam up short finishing second to Scott Haus.

This Friday, May 9th the BK Motorsports Team will be at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA and then jump back on the MACS trail for the $5,000 to win 'Ice Breaker 50' at Hesston Speedway in Hesston, PA.
