SOUTH PARK, Penn. (April 30) - Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway Champion Jared Miley and Jared Miley Racing stayed local this past weekend with visits to Lernerville Speedway, Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway (PPMS) and Challenger Speedway on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday respectively.
The team's busy weekend started off solid with a pretty strong run at Lernerville Speedway. After leading the early stages of the 25 lap feature event, Jared held off Keith Barbara for a fourth place finish behind race winner Alan Dellinger, 2007 Lernerville Champion Alex Ferree, and 5-Time Lernerville Champion John Flinner.
The following night at PPMS, 11th starting Jared grabbed the lead off Steve Baker after Baker made contact with a lapped car. Miley and his Colussy Chevrolet / Brougher's Machine Shop / Red Miley's Miley Truck Rental / Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic / Miley BP Car Wash / Rocket Chassis Chevrolet Impala led the remaining eight laps en route to his first victory of the young 2008 season and catapulting in to the Pizza Hut Super Late Models point lead.
On Sunday Jared and team competed at Challenger Raceway for the Inaugural Unified Force Race Championship Tour event. Miley was in a transfer spot in his heat race until trouble found him sending him to the B-Main. Unfortunately for Jared, it was much of the same in the 'B'. Jared ran into problems on the final lap ending his night early.
This weekend Jared will be at Raceway 7 in Conneaut, OH on Friday, May 2nd for the $3,000 to win 'Fall Into Spring Classic'. Then Saturday he will return to PPMS for their regular show.
