CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. (April 24) - The Dennis Erb Racing team had a fabulous weekend, as Carpentersville, Illinois driver Dennis Erb captured his first two victories of the young 2008 racing season! After getting rained out on Friday night, April 18 at the Tri-City (IL) Speedway, the action quickly turned to the Peoria Speedway in Peoria, Illinois on Saturday evening. Dennis timed in fifth quickest during qualifying at Peoria, which earned him the inside third row starting spot for the 'Don Bohlander 100.' During the course of the $4,000 to win feature event, Dennis proved to be the car to beat, as he vaulted into the lead and beat Tim Lance, Ryan Dauber, Steve Lance, and Wes Steidinger to the checkers to visit victory lane for the first time in 2008!

The weekend wrapped up on Sunday, April 20 at the Quad City Raceway in East Moline, Illinois. The PolyDome World Dirt Racing League (WDRL) Series and the UMP DIRTcar Series co-sanctioned the $5,000 to win show on Sunday at East Moline. Dennis won his heat race and later ran third in the dash to earn the inside second row starting spot for the A-Main. The driver of the J&J Steel / Thomason Express / Petroff Towing / Petersen Aluminum / PRC Racing #28 Rayburn / Rhyne entry once again had the car to beat on Sunday, as he recorded the $5,000 triumph over Darren Miller, Wes Steidinger, Steve Lance, and Brian Harris. You can view complete results from these two races online at www.peoriaspeedway.com and www.quadcityraceway.com!

"Everything worked out great last weekend at Peoria and Quad City," stated the soft-spoken Erb yesterday via telephone. "The car was good both nights and the key was being patient. Once I was able to get out front, it was just a matter of staying out of trouble and keeping your nose clean. Luckily, we were able to do that and it feels great to get those first two wins of the season!"

Dennis will look for win number three on the season this Saturday night, April 26 at the Kamp Motor Speedway in Boswell, Indiana. The Northern Allstars Late Model Series (NALMS) will sanction a $2,000 to win show on Saturday at Kamp. Dennis has enjoyed tremendous success at the Boswell, Indiana speedplant in the past, including capturing seven victories in 2007 alone! You can learn more about the NALMS race this weekend online at www.kampmotorspeedway.com.
