TRUMANN, Ark. (April 24) - Kyle Beard and Beard Motorsports will invade the famous, high-banks of Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Alabama this weekend, April 25th-26th for a pair of Super Late Model events.

Last Saturday morning, the team made the last minute decision to make the long trek to Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown, Tennessee for a $3,000 to win Southern Regional Racing Series event. Kyle struggled in qualifying in his first ever appearance at the middle Tennessee speedplant, which pinned him deep in his qualifying heat race. However, he was able to pick up a 4th place finish in the qualifier, which earned him a 20th starting position in the feature event. In the feature, Kyle would finally get the hang of the track, and charged his way to an impressive 9th place finish.

This weekend, Kyle will make his second appearance of the year behind the wheel of his #86 GRT By Frye/Samuel Performance Racing Engine at Talladega Short Track. He was in action earlier in the year at the 1/3 mile, clay oval in the Ice Bowl event. Beard missed the starting grid for the feature event by one spot, so this weekend he will be looking to avenge his early year misfortune. Friday night will feature an unsanctioned event that pays $2,000 to win. On Saturday night the O'Reilly Southern All Stars will sanction the $5,000 to win event.
