BRADFORD, Ohio (April 23) - Wayne Chinn and Chinn Motorsports visited Hilltop Speedway in Millersburg, Ohio on Friday night for the Independent Racing Series $6,000 to win season opener. A sixth place finish in the heat race would put Wayne on the inside of the second row for the B main event. While running in the second position an engine problem developed, Wayne quickly pulled off the track which forced him to use a series provisional to start the feature event.

Wayne and crew unloaded the back-up car and started the feature from the twenty-fourth starting position. "The Sniper" would live up to his nickname as he started making his way forward after the drop of the green flag. The Erwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep / Sugar Creek Packing / 1 Shot Graphics / AWP of Ohio / Dargie Powered / Rayburn Race Car seemed to work anywhere, as Wayne maneuvered around the top and bottom of the race track. Wayne worked his way into the top ten around lap twenty, then shortly after the half way point, while racing Rick Aukland for fourth position, a right rear tire went flat sending the number 1 Rayburn pit side.

After replacing the right rear tire, "The Sniper" would restart at the tail of the lead lap in the eighteenth position. Once again he would start making his way forward using the top and bottom of the track and worked back in to the top ten with a handful of laps remaining. "The Sniper" would cross the finish line in the seventh position, bringing home a top ten finish.

On Saturday night the team would stay close to home as they made the short trip to the legendary Eldora Speedway for the American Late Model Series $2,000 to win event. After timing in second quick in his group, "The Sniper" battled with Matt Miller for the win during the heat race but settled for a second place finish, putting him in the main event.

The Erwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep / Sugar Creek Packing / 1 Shot Graphics / AWP of Ohio / Dargie Powered / Rayburn Race Car rolled off the starting grid in eighth, outside the fourth row. "The Sniper" would prove to be strong as he could put his car anywhere on the track and make it work. While battling with Aaron Scott, Casey Noonan, and Tyler Boggs for the third position the right rear wheel broke sending Wayne hard into the turn three wall and prematurely ending the evening for Chinn Motorsports.
