Ben Shelton VICKSBURG, Miss. (April 22) - Bub McCool and McCool Motorsports were in action on Saturday night at Rodney Wing's Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi for a $2,500 to win event.
Bub piloted his trusty #57j Trakstar/Barker Racing Engine Super Late Model into battle in the event. Bub set third quick time in his group, which earned him a 5th starting position in the pole dash. He would finish sixth in the dash, which is where he would start in the 50 lap feature event. At the drop of the green flag, McCool began his march to the front, and on lap 15 he would take over the top spot and never look back en route to the feature win. The victory marked his third of the 2008 season.
This Saturday, Bub will once again be in action with the MSCCS Super Late Model Series at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi. The track has been newly renovated and revamped, by long time racer, Don Cliburn. The event will be 50 laps and pay $2,500 to win. For more information, please visit www.JacksonMotorSpeedway.net .
