Ben Shelton CHARLESTON, Mo. (April 22) - Todd Hall returned to familiar territory this weekend as he was behind the wheel of his #99 Mastersbilt Crate Late Model at Malden Speedway for their $5,000 to win FasTrak Late Model Series sanctioned event.
Rain on Friday forced the event to be moved to a Saturday night and Sunday afternoon event. Todd had a previous family commitment for Saturday, so he was unable to race. However, via his 5th place finish in the FasTrak event at West Plains Motor Speedway the previous week, he was guaranteed a provisional starting spot in the Sunday afternoon main event. Hall started 22nd in the main event and charged his way to a 7th place finish despite a track that was restrictive to passing.
"Our car was really awesome, and we were lucky to pass as many cars as we did because the track was pretty much one lane. Either way it's good to pick up another solid finish, and our team will build from it," commented Hall.
This Friday, Hall Motorsports will travel to Paducah International Raceway for their annual Nascar night. Super Late Models will be battling for $1,500 to win around the high, banked clay oval. For more information, please visit www.PaducahInternationalRaceway.com .
