BYRAM, Miss. (April 19) - Jackson Motor Speedway rolled on with the 2008 season on Saturday night with another strong turnout in the pit area as 86 cars signed in for the evening's event.

In the Extreme Wireless Super Late Model division it was Dewayne Estes of Greenville, Mississippi setting the pace with quick time followed by Brooks Strength, Jimmy Cliburn, Dennis Duncan, Darin Dorsey, and Jeremy Quattlebaum. In the feature event, Estes and Strength set on the front row with Strength taking the lead at the drop of green, and jumping out to a four car length advantage. As Strength worked the high line, Estes began to run the bottom, and pulled even with the leader as caution flew on lap six. On the restart, Strength maintained his advantage as Chris McElhenney, who started 12th, continued his march through the field. McElhenney used a power move to overtake Estes, Cliburn, and Strength to take the lead exiting turn four, and went on to take the win over Strength, Cliburn, Dorsey, and Duncan.

For the second straight week DJ Purvis won the Franklin Paving UMP Open Wheel Modified feature. Ryan Allday and Jason Henry chased him to the checkered flag.

The Trick Race & Hawkins Machine Shop Street Stock main event also saw a repeat winner as Kevin Whittington took the win with Greg Lockhart and Roy Chisholm rounding out the top three.

The Home Improvement Company Limited Late Model main event was won by Cliff Williams with Tony Henry and Dallas Mozingo in second and third respectively.

The Touch of Class Body Shop Stinger main event was won by Justin Miller with Jason Whittington and Caleb Langford rounding out the podium.

The Mini Stock feature win was claimed by Tim Sullivan as Ricky Patterson and Kenneth Gates rounded out the top three finishers.

Overall, it was a great night of racing, and the entire racing program was completed by 10:45 pm. For full results on all classes, please visit www.JacksonMotorSpeedway.net .
