BRIGHT, Ind. (April 16) - Scott James and his #83 team invaded the K-C Raceway in Chillicothe, Ohio on Saturday night, April 12 for another exciting round of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competition.  Scott timed in twenty-seventh quickest in qualifying and later finished sixth in his ultra-competitive heat race.  The Bright, Indiana native was then battling for a transfer spot in his B-Main when his left rear tire rolled off the rim late in the race.  Because of the misfortune, Scott was forced to take a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series provisional to gain access into the 'Glockner 50.'

Unfortunately for the Jam-Pow Motorsports team, their night did not get any better during the $10,000 to win feature event.  As the cars paraded around the track prior to the drop of the green flag, Scott's nose folded up underneath of the car after hitting a rut.  The unfortunate set of circumstances sent the "Silver Shark" back to the pit area for the rest of the evening.  He was credited with a twenty-fourth place performance after failing to complete one green flag racing lap.  You can view complete results from the 'Glockner 50,' which was taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel, online at www.lucasdirt.com.

"I don't know if you could have had any more bad luck than what we had at K-C last Saturday," quoted James, who fell back to eighth in the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings.  "Everything from the spin out in the heat race to the flat tire in the B-Main and then of course the trouble on the parade lap before the feature.  Hopefully, all of this bad luck is out of our system and we can start putting up some strong finishes starting this weekend at Eldora."

The #83 team will look to regroup this Saturday night, April 19, as the team travels to the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.  The Sunoco American Late Model Series (ALMS) will sanction a $2,000 to win show on Saturday at the "Big E."  The event will give Scott valuable track time prior to June's $100,000 to win 'Dream 100.'  You can learn more about the famed Eldora Speedway online at www.eldoraspeedway.com.
