BRADFORD, Ohio (April 15) - "The Sniper" Wayne Chinn made his presence felt over the weekend at Jim Nier's KC Raceway, located in Chillicothe, Ohio for the "Glockner 50," sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Series. Chinn claimed the Performance Rod & Customs Fast Time award after being the quickest in time trials out of the 52 entrants. After spinning the wheel, a three car invert would put Wayne on the inside of the second row for the heat race event. "The Sniper" would use his Dargie power to work his way past Rick Combs on lap 1, and race leader Tim Dohm on lap 2 to take the lead. Chinn would finish out the remaining laps unchallenged, winning the heat race, locking himself in to the main event.

Wayne would pilot his Erwin Chrysler Dodge Jeep / Sugar Creek Packing / 1 Shot Graphics / AWP of Ohio / Dargie Powered / Rayburn Race Car from the outside of the second row, behind veterans Scott Bloomquist, Eddie Carrier Jr., and Bart Hartman. A rough racing surface would hinder the forward progress of the Chinn Motorsports Rayburn, until "The Sniper" found a line around the 3/8's mile oval and mounted a run back toward the front. Using the middle of the race track Chinn made his move and worked his way around both Hartman and Billy Drake, putting him in the fourth position.

After all of "The Sniper's" efforts his night would come to an end on lap 34, a piece of debris knocked the water pump belts off the engine, causing him to pull in to the infield ending the night. This would subject Chinn Motorsports to a thirteenth place finish in the official results.

Even though the night did not end as well as it started, Wayne managed to pick up some ground in the points battle, as he moved into 10th place in the overall standings. For any additional information or results from the "Glockner 50" stop by www.kc-raceway.com or www.lucasdirt.com.
