BATESVILLE, Ark. (April 11) - The Wendell Wallace Autosports team invaded the I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas on Saturday night, April 5 for the O'Reilly MSRA Series season opener. Wendell Wallace won his heat race in preliminary action at his home state speedplant and later rolled off from the inside of the second row for the $2,000 to win main event.

During the course of the A-Main, which took place on a rough racing surface, Wendell battled up front and even took the lead from laps 21-23. However, he jumped the cushion while pacing the field and lost several positions. As the checkered flag waved over the field, Wendell found himself fifth in line behind winner Ray Moore, Joey Mack, Jody Prince, and Ronnie Adams. "I was just glad to finish the race," quoted Wallace earlier this week. "The track got very rough and I was just hanging on there at the end of the race. We will take the fifth place finish and go on to North Alabama and Columbus this weekend!"

Wendell and his #88 GRT team will travel to Alabama and Mississippi this upcoming weekend for a pair of Dirt Late Model events. The North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama will play host to a $2,500 to win unsanctioned race tonight, April 11. The action will then turn to the Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi on Saturday evening, April 12 for the annual running of the 'James King Memorial.' The night at Columbus will be capped off by a $5,000 to win feature event. You can view more information on these shows online at www.northalabamaspeedway.com and www.columbusspeedway.net.

Wendell Wallace and the GRT House Car team would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support: J&J Steel, GRT Race Cars, Wincrest Farms, Gaerte Engines, JFR Graphics, Sunoco Race Fuels, Garrett Racing, C&S Cable Construction, Delph Communications, Integra Shocks, Port City Racing, Wilwood, Sweet Mfg., Hoosier Racing Tires, and Frankland Racing Supply.
