SOUTH PARK, Penn. (April 8) - The 2007 Pittsburgh's Pennsylvania Motor Speedway Champion Jared Miley and Jared Miley Racing, like so many other Western Pennsylvania race teams had to wait out the weather to get their local season started. Lernerville Speedway has tried twice to kick off their 40th Anniversary season but the weather has not been kind to the Sarver, PA speed plant. However, the Western PA season was able to kick off on Saturday, April 5 at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway (PPMS) with their season opener.

Jared debuted a new blue Colussy Chevrolet / Brougher's Machine Shop / Red Miley's Miley Truck Rental / HTMA #H1 Rocket GTO at PPMS with a heat race victory. After the invert, Miley started in the fourth row of the 25-lap main event. After working his way up to the third position Jared slowed in turns three and four with a flat tire and was forced to the pits on the ninth circuit. Jared returned to the event one lap down and finished with an 11th place finish. "It was a tough break but the car was good and we can build from this." Miley said after the event. "I don't know if we were as good as Lynn (Geisler, the eventual race winner) but it really didn't matter after the flat."

This weekend Jared will again attempt to help Lernerville Speedway open their 40th year on Friday, April 11 and then back to PPMS for another regular weekly program on Saturday, April 12. On Sunday the 13th the team will make their way to Challenger Raceway in Jacksonville, PA for the PA State Short Track Championships. The event will pay $5,000 to win and is part of the Unified Force Race Championship Tour. After a busy three race weekend the team will make their way back to Lernerville Speedway for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned, $10,000 to win 'Showdown in Sarvertown' on Tuesday, April 15th.
