Ben Shelton FULTON, Miss. (April 8) - Eric Cooley made the first visit of 2008 to North Mississippi Speedway in Corinth, Mississippi in his #33c Mastersbilt/Jeff Burns Racing Engine Late Model Stock on Saturday night, and made it pay off in a big way by picking up the feature win.
Eric started fourth in his heat race and finished 2nd, which earned him a 3rd starting spot for the feature event. Cooley took the lead in the feature near the event's midway point, and never looked back en route to the win. The win marked his second overall feature win of 2008, and his first Late Model Stock win of the year.
This weekend Cooley will return to familiar ground as he competes in a pair of events in Alabama and Mississippi. The weekend will get underway on Friday night at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama with the 3rd Annual Shoals Shootout. For more information, please visit www.NorthAlabamaSpeedway.com .
On Saturday night, the action will shift to Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the 16th Annual James King Memorial.
