TRUMANN, Ark. (April 8) - Kyle Beard and Beard Motorsports will be in action this weekend in a pair of special events in Alabama and Mississippi.

Last weekend the team was slated to compete in two Super Late Model events in the state of Arkansas. However, rain nixed the Friday program at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas that was being sanctioned by the Arkansas Motorsports Professional Super Late Models. On Saturday night, the team traveled to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas for a $2,000 to win Super Late Model event with the O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model Series. Twenty-six of the regions top drivers entered the event. After starting 7th, Kyle finished 3rd in his heat race, which earned him a 5th starting position via passing points in the feature event. Kyle cracked the top 3 by lap 8 and was definitely an early event contender for the win before he made contact with a tractor tire in turn three on lap 15, which resulted in heavy front end damage, ending his night.

This weekend Kyle will pilot his #86 GRT By Frye/Samuels Performance Engine Super Late at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Friday, April 11th in the 3rd Annual Shoals Shootout. The event pays $2,500 to win/$250 to start for Super Late Models. Kyle finished 9th in the last special event at North Alabama Speedway, which was held a few weeks ago. On Saturday, April 12th, the team will invade Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi for the 16th Annual James King Memorial. The event pays $5,000 to win and $300 to start, and will mark Kyle's second appearance of 2008 at the facility. He recorded a 10th place finish at Columbus Speedway during the Winter Classic in January. For more information, please visit www.ColumbusSpeedway.net .

Kyle Beard would like to thank his sponsors including KB Transport, Gary Beard Trucking, Samuel's Performance Engines, Engines Inc., Mean Street Motors, Inc., Extreme Graphix (Jonesboro, AR), Bill Frye Motorsports, and MSRMafia.com Marketing Services.
