SOUTHERN REGIONAL RACING SERIES TO MAKE FIRST VISIT TO MOUNTAIN RACEWAY PARK

MARYVILLE, Tenn. (April 7) - On Saturday April 12th The Mountain Raceway Park and Fairgrounds welcomes the Southern Regional Racing Series for their first visit to the famed 4/10 mile track and East Tennesee in a double header weekend including a stop at Wartburg Speedway on April 11th.

The weekend get's kicked off when the series make there first stop at the Wartburg Speedway in Wartburg,TN on Friday for a 3,000 to win/300 to start main events.

Next the Southern Regional Racing Series will makes it debut at the Mountain Raceway Park and Fairgrounds in Maryville,TN on Saturday night for another 3,000 to win /300 to start feature event.Not only is it the series debut at The Mountain Raceway Park and Fairgrounds, but it's also the series first time traveling to East TN. We excited to have the Southern Regional Racing Series at our track and to give the fans a chance to see drivers they don't get a chance to see from the Tennesse based series.

Drivers from the series expected to be in attendance include the reining Southern Regional Racing Series champion Byron Michael of Florence, AL as well as Mike Luna of Sparta, TN; Tony Morris of Murfreesboro, TN; Jay Brinkley of Shelbyville, TN; Steve Ross of Lexington, TN; Michael Luna of Sparta, TN; Joe Denby of Tullahoma, TN; Erick Hickerson of Linden, TN; Ben Kittrell of Mt. Pleasant, TN; and Billy Mayo of Cleveland, TN.

Also along with our great local drivers including 2007 Mountain Raceway Champion Bobby Giffin, Mike Weeks, Tony Martin, Dusty Carver, Roger Best, Tommy Kerr, Mark Douglas and many more

Also five of the weekly classes will also be racing with addtional money in each class. Modified Mini, Sportsman Late model, Mini Stock, Street Stock, and the Newly formed Pure Mini class will all be competing in the first points race of the season with action that will have you on your feet all night long.

Mountain Raceway Park and Fairgrounds would like to invite everyone out to see all of the new improvements that the track has undergone over the off season, including new outside pitting area and new bleachers. We hope to see everyone there.

Admission prices for the March 12th event are as follows: Adult General Admission is $15.00 with Children $5.00. Tier Parking is $20 Adult and Children $10. Pit Admission $30 Adult and Children $15.
