WARRENSBURG, Mo. (April 4) - The ULMA Spring Challenge presented by Pepsi Americas Columbia and Central Missouri rolls into action on Saturday, April 19th at Moberly, Missouri's 24 Raceway.  Drivers will compete in a $1,000-to-win first-place main event that pays $200 to start!  With the official start of the ULMA championship season now underway, race fans will soon have a chance to catch some side-by-side late model chassis dancin' and ULMA drivers will have a rare chance to show their stuff at a track that is not part of their weekly chase for the championship.  Known for its fast speeds and close racing, this will be the first-ever appearance by ULMA drivers at the four-tenth mile speed plant.  In addition to the ULMA late models, all weekly divisions at 24 Raceway will also be on the bill for what is sure to be one of the most action-packed nights of racing the early race season!

Drivers that have expressed interest in this event include defending ULMA Champion, Brett Rollert of Smithville, MO.  Several drivers such as home-town driver 'the Missouri Missile' Danny Lorton; Darin Walker; Randy McGraw, Tommy Cordray and Walt Imhoff have turned several laps over the years at 24 Raceway.  Additional possible drivers to watch for include Kevin 'the Kid' Coyne, Jeff Schlup, Jason 'Bodee' Bodenhamer, 2007 ULMA Rookie of the Year Brett Wood, James Rutledge, Bob Hiller, Shawn Williams, Randy Ainsworth, Danny Monroe, Jason Sivils, Marty Pope, David Angell and Gary Billings.  Please note driver name does not constitute guaranteed appearance.  For detailed admission and track information check out 24 Raceway's Website at www.24racewayinmoberly.com.
