NEW LONDON, Wisc. (April 3) - Terry Casey picked up his second career Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory in exciting fashion on Saturday night, March 29 at the historic Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana! In preliminary action, Terry finished third in his heat race, which enabled the New London, Wisconsin native to roll off from the outside of the eighth row for the 50-lap 'Indiana Icebreaker' main event.

The driver known as "Mr. Excitement" then wheeled his Arnie Ranta Motorsports / Brewer Concrete Construction / Arnie's Sleds and Trailers #42 C.J. Rayburn / Pro Power entry to the front of the field in only twenty-three laps, as Terry took the point from Bart Hartman on lap twenty-four. He then drove away from the rest of the stellar field over the last half of the race to record the $10,000 'Indiana Icebreaker' top prize over Justin Rattliff, Bart Hartman, Earl Pearson, Jr., and Steve Casebolt. With his impressive triumph over the weekend at Brownstown, coupled with his strong 'Winternationals' at East Bay in February, Terry currently finds himself atop the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings. Terry leads Steve Casebolt, Earl Pearson, Jr., Mike Marlar, and Justin Rattliff in the series point standings heading into the month of April. He is also leading the heated Rookie of the Year point battle over Wayne Chinn and John Blankenship.

"If we only hold the series point lead for a week, I can still say I led the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings in 2008," quoted Casey following his 'Indiana Icebreaker' victory. "It has been a dream of mine for a long time to get out on the road and race with these guys full-time. I am very grateful for this opportunity and plan to make the most of it. The win at Brownstown was awesome for a couple of reasons, sure it was worth $10,000, but it also came at one of my worst tracks and from the sixteenth starting spot. Hopefully, we can keep rolling and have another strong weekend in Georgia!"

The Casey / Arnie Ranta Motorsports team will trek south to the Peachtree State of Georgia this weekend for a trio of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events. The Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia will kick things off tonight, April 3 with a $7,000 to win show. The Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia will then host the second night of racing action on Friday, April 4 with a $10,000 to win race. The weekend finale will be held at the Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, Georgia on Saturday evening, April 5. The $10,000 to win event at GIS will be taped by the cameras of the SPEED Channel for viewing later in the season.
