JUNCTION CITY, Ky. (April 2) - Ponderosa Speedway track promoters Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz are proud to announce the following addition to the 1st Annual Chris Estes/Brad Pena Memorial presented by Estes Racing Engines, Stephens Motorsports, Mulligan Plumbing, Dyers Top Rods, and Clayton Homes of Stanford.

The April 5 Saturday Night special event at "Kentucky's Baddest Bullring" will now pay $5,000 TO THE WINNER of the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Model Main Event. "Chad, Sarah, and I are so excited about this event this weekend", stated Larry Yantz. "Thanks to a silent donor, an extra $1,000 to win has been added to this event to make the Super Late Model feature now pay $5,000 to the winner. It just shows the spirit of the racing community and how much they thought of Chris and Brad", added Larry Yantz.

The weekend will begin with the Spring 30 presented by Clayton Homes of Stanford on Friday evening April 4, paying $1,500 to win for the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, along with $800 to win for Hardee's Modifieds, and $500 to win each for the Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models and SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman.

The following evening, Saturday April 5, the 1st Annual Chris Estes/Brad Pena Memorial presented by Estes Race Engines, Stephens Motorsports, Mulligan Plumbing, Dyers Top Rods, and Clayton Homes of Stanford will take place, with the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Model feature winner now taking home $5,000 for their efforts. Also in action on April 5 will be the Hardee's Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win, Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models for $600 to win, and SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman for $500 to win. There will be a special driver's autograph session for all drivers in all divisions at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday evening behind the main grandstand area.

Activities for both April 4 and April 5 will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area set to open at 5:00 p.m. A mandatory driver's meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., followed by hot laps and time trials, with racing set to get the green flag at 8:30 p.m. For more information concerning this event, visit www.ponderosaspeedway.net and/or phone (859) 854-6808 on raceday.
