BATESVILLE, Ark. (April 2) - The Billy Moyer Racing team continued their tremendous roll in 2008 over the weekend at the Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, Mississippi! The World of Outlaws Late Model Series invaded the southern Mississippi speedplant on March 28-29 for the inaugural 'March Through Dixie 100.' Batesville, Arkansas native Billy Moyer racked up his eighth feature win of '08 at Pike County, which netted him over $20,000 in winnings!

Billy was sixteenth quickest in WOOLMS time trials on Friday evening, March 28 and later won his competitive heat race from the fourth spot. After drawing a number four prior to the start of the 100-lap A-Main on Saturday, March 29, the driver known as "Mr. Smooth" rolled off from the outside of the second row for the 'March Through Dixie 100.' Billy took the point from James Ward on the second circuit and then led the remaining 98 laps to record the triumph over Scott Bloomquist, Shannon Babb, James Ward, and Shane Clanton. "The start to our season has been pretty amazing and I am just enjoying it for as long as it lasts," quoted Moyer earlier in the week following his $20,000 victory at Pike County. "The competition level these days is tremendous and you never know what is going to happen in this sport, so you better enjoy the success while you can. We had an awfully good car over the weekend at Pike County and we picked the correct tire combination, which was crucial. I have to thank my guys for working so hard on the cars each and every day, as well as all of my sponsors for their continued support and dedication."

Billy and his famed #21 team are scheduled to invade the Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois this coming weekend for another $20,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series show. Qualifying and heat race action will take place on Friday night, April 4, while the last chance races and the 100-lap 'Illini 100' are slated for Saturday evening. The inaugural running of the 'Illini 100' will mark the biggest Dirt Late Model event ever held in the state of Illinois. Billy comes into the two-day show leading the latest version of the WOOLMS point standings. You can learn more about the weekend festivities at Farmer City online at www.worldofoutlaws.com.
