Steve Casebolt Racing
RICHMOND, Ind. (April 2) - On a night that started off as bleak as any, Steve Casebolt and his team reallied from a 24th starting position to bring their Fatheadz.com, Dixie Chopper racecar to a solid 5th place finish in the 11th Annual Indiana Icebreaker. In Steve's hotlap session he got into the back of a spinning John Mason and the orange and white C9 sustained heavy front-end damage. The team sprang into action and quickly made repairs.

Things didn't get much better in their heat race as a multi-car accident hindered Steve from completing the event. After quick repairs and chassis adjustments were made the team was forced to take a series provisional. Steve would ultimately finish fifth after passing an event high of 19 cars to earn the PBM Hard Charger of the race award. "I was definitely concerned about what the evening may bring after my heat race." "The awesome group of guys that we had with us did a great job of getting the car back together and all of their hard work paid off", stated Steve.

The strong performance moved Steve from a tie for 6th place in Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series points to 2nd place behind event winner Terry Casey. The team will be back in action for three nights in Georgia, beginning Thursday, April 3 as the team will be competing the in the highly anticipated Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events at Swainsboro Raceway, Screven Motor Speedway, and Golden Isles Speedway. The final night of the trio will see Steve competed in front of the cameras of Speed Channel. "I'm looking forward to heading south this weekend", stated Steve.
