BYRAM, Miss. (March 31) - The new era at Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi gets underway this Saturday, April 5th as the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) Super Late Models invade the racy oval in a $2,500 to win, 50 lap event.

The off-season has been a very busy time at Jackson Motor Speedway with veteran racer, Don Cliburn, taking over the ownership role of the ¼ mile, dirt oval. Since assuming the reigns, Cliburn and his staff have made several major improvements to the central Mississippi oval with several more in store. Some of the improvements already completed include a complete remodel of the concessions, bathrooms, and backstretch and pit side bleachers. The announcer/scorer's tower has been completely redone and a brand new scoreboard has been installed. With all of these improvements already completed and several more on the way, the future at Jackson Motor Speedway is looking bigger and brighter than ever.
