Jason Shank YORK HAVEN, Penn. (March 25) - Barry Klinedinst Motorsports and the 2006-2007 Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Champion Jason Covert will kick off their 2008 racing season this Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, PA followed by a trip to Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberry, PA on Saturday April 5th.
"We are really looking forward to getting the year started," Covert mentioned during a recent phone interview. "We are going to look at all of the (Series) schedules to see what we can and can't do for 2008. It looks like we'll do the MACS deal again for this year and hopefully a lot more of the Lucas (Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series) and Outlaws (World of Outlaws Late Model Series) stuff. Those guys are coming into our region a little more this year and hopefully we will be able to make it to those shows."
Covert and the BK Motorsports team will defend their back-to-back MACS championships starting on Saturday, April 12 and Sunday, April 14 at 'The Rock' Allegany County Speedway and Hesston Speedway when the 2008 MACS season begins.
"We really enjoy racing with the MACS guys, the staff and the racers are what make it fun. Their series really fits our schedule," Jason continued, "our whole crew works day jobs so it's hard for us to really hit the road for the summer. The MACS fits our team."
