RICHMOND, Ind. (March 25) - Steve Casebolt Racing has been extremely busy since coming home from East Bay Raceway Park in February, preparing themselves for the long awaited racing season. The team has been working hard to prepare the equipment for their assault on the Lucas Oil Late Model Series championship. "In Florida we had some issues the first three nights of not being able to complete races", "we have worked extremely hard to regroup and fix the mechanical issues that arose at East Bay ", stated Steve. The team stepped it up when it counted at East Bay for the point races and heads to Brownstown, IN this coming weekend tied for 6th place.

Besides just working on the cars the crew had to deliver the team's transporter to a body shop in Kentucky for a couple of weeks where it received body work, after another truck backed into it in a Florida truck stop. The truck received a new paint job and some needed maintenance in order to be ready for the estimated 30,000 miles that the team will travel this year following the series.

Steve is Happy to be back in action at a familiar track where he has logged his share of laps. Last season in the Icebreaker at Brownstown Speedway Steve finished a solid second in the highly competitive field against Hall of Famer and current Lucas Oil point leader, Billy Moyer. "It has definitely been a long winter and everybody around here is pumped to get going again", said Steve. "We also are going to get a chance to race in front of our new sponsors, Fatheadz.com and Dixie Chopper so hopefully we can give them a good showing.
