EASTABOGA, Ala. (March 22) - Ross and Adam Martin each picked up there first wins of the 2008 racing season, giving a one-two punch at Talladega Short Track on Saturday Night.
Adam Martin was the first to reach victory lane, leading all twenty-laps of the Crate Late Model feature event. Then Dad, Ross Martin followed by taking the checkers in Super Late Model action.
Ross bested the field of twenty-seven Super Late Models, and held off a good battle with Terry Smith for the victory.
Smith finished in the second spot with Season opener winner James Cline in third. Fourth spot went to Danny Peoples with Tim Roszell rounding out the top five.
Tim Busha put on a passing clinic in the Super Late Model feature, after starting in the twenty-fourth spot, Busha rallied for a sixth place finish.
Adam outran the twenty-car crate field for the win over Lee Burdett in second and Brian Ponder third.
Jackson Hale picked up his second win of the season in Sportsman action on Saturday Night over Shane Criswell in second and Jonathan Chapman in third.
Michael Strickland picked up his second straight win in IMCA Modified action on Saturday Night over Shane Strickland in second and David Newton third.
Tony Miles picked up the fifteen lap Thundercar feature event over Bubba Haynes in second and Michael Blakeney in third.
Timmy Runfola won the Hot Shot feature event while Eric Layfield picked up the Street Stock feature event win.
Talladega Short Track is back in action this Saturday Night March 29th featuring a full racing program in all seven exciting divisions. Gates open at 4PM with Hot Laps at 6 and racing at 7.
