Mike Swanger LAKEVILLE, Ohio (March 21) - Opening night at Lakeville Speedway is set for Friday, April 11th with the Late Models, Pure Stocks, Cruisers, Mini Stocks and Mini Trucks providing the racing excitement at the Holmes County speedplant. Those five divisions will supply the action on every Friday night through October 17th except for two Fridays. The 20th of June and September 5th will have the Late Models taking the nights off as the Pure Stocks and the Mini Stocks will battle it out for the $1,000 to win features for each of them. The Cruisers and the Mini Trucks will run regular shows also those nights. The first of the Triple Crown series for the Late Models will be on May 23rd, the second one on July 25th and the finale will be during the Ohio Dirt Blowout, which will be on the 3rd & 4th of October this year. Each one of the Triple Crown series will be a 30 lap event paying $1,000 to win. Other dates to mark down will be July 4th with fireworks, August 8th for Kid's Night and the Holmes County Humane Society benefit with autograph and rides in the race cars. September 12th will be the Alan Schippers/ Michael Young Memorial race with the next Friday set for Season Championship night.
Pit gates will open at 4:30 pm each Friday with the Grandstand opening up an hour later and the green flag will wave at 7:30 pm. Pit passes will be $25 on regular night and for general admission it will be $12 for adults, seniors 62and older will be $10, ages 13 to 16 with ID will be $5 and kids 12 and under will be free.
