Ben Shelton VICKSBURG, Miss. (March 19) - Bub McCool was in action in two divisions over the weekend at Deep South Speedway in Loxley, Alabama for the Chuck Stephens Motorsports 100.
Bub competed in the Crate Late Model division and the Super Late Model division. After transferring from his consolation event, Bub started on the back of the Crate Late Model feature and had charged his way to the sixth position when he received hard contact from the car behind him, resulting in heavy damage, which ended his night. In the Super Late Model feature, McCool started 3rd and came away with a 3rd place finish in the 50 lap feature event.
This weekend, McCool will pilot his #57j Trak-Star/Barker Racing Engine Super Late Model in a pair of challenge events between the MSCCS & AMP Super Late Models. The weekend will get underway with a $2,000 to win event at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama on Friday, March 21st. On Saturday night, the action will shift 40 minutes to the west to North Mississippi Speedway in Corinth, Mississippi for a $2,500 to win/$300 to start event.
