JUNCTION CITY, Ky. (March 18) - With rainy weather in the area last weekend, the Ponderosa Speedway track trio of Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz were forced to postpone last Saturday afternoon's scheduled practice day.
The official Practice Night to kick off the 2008 racing season is set for this Friday evening, March 21. This date was originally scheduled to be the '08 season opener event, but with the Practice Night now occurring on March 21, the official racing Season Opener at "Kentucky's Baddest Bullring" will now take place on Friday evening, March 28.
The Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Hardee's Modifieds, Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models, and SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman will all be in competitive practice this Friday evening, March 21, and all four divisions will be featured on the season opening card on Friday evening, March 28.
Activities for the Practice Night for March 21 will see pit and main gates open at 4:00 p.m., with practice laps set to begin around 6:00 p.m. Admission to either the main grandstand or pit area is $10 and allows patrons to tour the entire grounds if they choose to do so and also get up close and personal with their favorite drivers.

Good Neighbor Pharmacy of Danville, KY will be the class sponsor for the Super Late Model division. Kentucky National Guard is the proud supporter of the Pro Late Model division. Hardee's of Junction City, KY is back as the class sponsor of the Open Wheel Modified class. SkyTower Power Race Engines of Stanford, KY will again be the title sponsor for the ever-growing Sportsman division.
