CHATSWORTH, Ga. (March 13) - After having the season opener weather out last weekend North Georgia Speedway will try it again this Friday, March 14. The weather related postponement created a Southern All Star double header combining the Friday night SAS Ernest Young Memorial at North Georgia and Saturday night's SAS Shamrock at Cleveland Speedway.

"As much as we would like to be able to there is nothing we can do about the weather," said Promoter of both North Georgia and Cleveland Speedway. "There is a lot of money up for grabs for this double header weekend and that will be good for both the fans and competitors."

On Friday night the winner of the Ernest Young will take home $5,000. Saturday night the winner of the Shamrock 60 will receive $7,500. If one driver wins both races he picks up a $2,500 bonus from Car Smart of Cleveland. If one driver doesn't win both the high point man in both races picks up an additional $500.

"You know if one driver can walk away with $15,000 for two races there will be a great field of cars and plenty of hardnosed racing," concluded Morrow.

Also on the line is $250 for the fast qualifier from Midnight Oil Racing fuel and $100 to the second fastest. Midnight Oil is also posting $100 for fast qualifier in the Limited/Crate/Sportsman division and $50 for the second fastest.

One change due to the weather out is the support divisions for the Ernest Young Memorial will be Limited/Crate/Sportsman, Mini Stock and Econo Bombers. Pit gates will open at 2 pm, grandstands at 3 pm with racing at 6 pm. Adults are $17 in the grandstands with kids 6-11 $3 and under six are free. Pit passes will be $30.
