LOXLEY, Ala. (March 12) - An action-packed weekend of hard core short-track racing will roar to life at Deep South Speedway on Thursday night as many of the nation's toughest competitors in the dirt late model ranks prepare to slug it out on the track in Friday and Saturday nights slate of feature racing excitement.

The Chuck Stevens Motorsports 100 weekend is highlighted with the GM Performance Crate Late Models battling for $10,000.00 to the winner in a 100 lap Saturday night special. In addition, the Super Late Models will square off in a 50-lap main event with $5,000 going to its winner. An all-star line up of drivers will head the field with noted talents such as former 2-time Dirt Track World Champion (DTWC) Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tennessee and numerous other championship drivers from across the southeast. This weekend's racing action in the 'Chuck Stevens Motorsports 100' offers nearly $100,000 in total prize monies to field of traveling and regional racers.

The March 13-15 event begins with a special Open Practice Night on Thursday in preparation for Friday night's time-trial qualifying and preliminary qualifying heat races on Friday night in each of the high-powered late model divisions. Each drama filled night of racing will feature a full slate of action, plus the Vintage Race Cars will go door-to-door on both nights in main events. Special Family 4-Pack for the event offering FREE Thursday or Friday Family Grandstand Admission (2 Adults & 2 Kids 6-12) are available at Chuck Stevens Motorsports in Bay Minette and at all area Chuck Stevens Automotive locations.

Thursday's practice session for ALL Divisions sees Pit Gates open at 5:00 with the Thursday night practice scheduled until 10:00 pm. Grandstand Admission is FREE for Thursday's practice session with competitor Pit Passes priced at $10.00 per person in Pits PLUS $20.00 per car practicing on the speedway. Pit Gates open at Noon on Friday, March 14th with racing taking the Green Flag at 7:00 p.m. General Admission tickets for Friday Night (March 14) are $10.00 for Adults and $5.00 for Kids 6-12. Children 5 and are FREE in the grandstands when accompanied by adults. The final night of the special weekend of stock car racing excitement offers a full slate of feature events including the 100 lap $10,000 to win main event and a $5,000 to win 50 lapper for the two Late Model divisions. Grandstand Tickets for Saturday night (March 15) are $20.00 for Adults, Kids 6-12 are 5 and Children 5 and under are FREE in grandstands with adult.. Grandstand gates open at 5:00 p.m. each day. Deep South Speedway is located north of Loxley, Alabama and south of Bay Minette, Alabama on Ala State Hwy 59 four miles north of Interstate 10 at Exit 44, just north of Gulf Shores, Alabama. The high-banked oval racing and entertainment facility is 30 minutes from Mobile, Al or Pensacola, Florida.
