TRUMANN, Ark. (March 3) - After a few weeks away from the track to assemble their new car, Kyle Beard and Beard Motorsports are set to return to action this weekend in the 7th Annual Brown Engineering Rebel Challenge at Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi.
Kyle was last in action a few weeks ago at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, Tennessee for the Winterfest 40, where he made the starting event against a strong field of fifty-five Super Late Models and recorded a strong run. Since the event, the team took a few weekends off from racing to prepare their new GRT By Frye for racing action.
This weekend at Columbus Speedway Kyle will hop behind the wheel of the brand new #86 GRT By Frye/Samuels Racing Engine Super Late Model at the Baddest Bullring in the South at Columbus Speedway Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. Kyle has competed at Columbus Speedway once already this year, where he picked up a solid 10th place finish in the Winter Classic.
The 7th Annual Rebel Challenge weekend gets underway with an open practice session on Thursday night from 7pm to 9pm. On Friday, March 7th, twin $1,500 to win/$100 to start Super Late Model features will be held with the field divided into the two features and as many as 26 cars starting each feature event. On Saturday night, the field will start fresh with a $7,000 to win and $400 to start Super Late Model event featuring time trials, qualifiers, and the 50 lap main event.
