HOHENWALD, Tenn. (March 1) - The 2008 season kicked off with some great racing last night at C.F.S. The USCS Risilone Mods ran there 30 lap feature with local driver Steve Holcomb starting on the pole and leading several laps before having to pull into the infield with rear end trouble. The Outlaw T.J. Herdon made his way to the front to take the win. USCS has the full results for the entire field. As far as the rest of the classes, the Crate Late Models ran a 25 lap feature with the c66 of Donald Johns starting on the pole and the 41 of Ben Davis on the outside front row. It didn't take long however for David Gentry in the 11 car to make his way to the front and pull out to a comfortable lead. Gentry went on to win the feature and the 18 of David Seibers finished 2nd.

The Outlaw Stock class had a 5 Car pile up in there Heat race in turns 1 & 2. We had 4 of the cars hung together and it took several minutes to get everything cleared and cleaned up. In the feature race it was a very close finish with the 50 car of Marcus McCrary crossing the finish line spinning backwards just inches ahead of the 8x of Blake Hagan.

In the stock class the 52 car of Donnie Hensley had to go to the back after bring out an early caution but made an awesome charge back to the front of the field. The 39 car of Timmy Quillen was leading with the race winding down when the 21 of Robbie Daniels got into the back of the 39 on the back strecth causing the 39 to spin and then the 2 of them hit head on with the 21 climbing up on the back strecth wall. Both cars were out of the race with lots of damage. The d66 restarted the race with the lead but it didn't take long for the 52 of Donnie Hensley to take over the top spot and go on to take the checkers.

In the mini stock class it was the s1 of Johnathan Smart dominating the field to take the win.

Here are all of the results with the exception of the mods, I will get them posted as soon as I get the results from Pete Walton.
