ALEXANDRIA, Ark. (March 1) - The AMP Series and President, Christy Hudson, and Director Jeremy Murphy are excited to announce the 2008 AMP Point Fund for the upcoming season.

"As one of the top Late Model series in the Mid-South United States, it was only natural to bring a point fund to match," commented Hudson. "The AMP Series wouldn't be where it is today without the racers & promoters -- so in 2008, we're going to reward the drivers who stick with us throughout the entire season with a $500 bonus on top of their earned point money."

"They (the racers) pay the fees, they chase the prize and the AMP Series will give it back to them in 2008," Hudson continued. "It's the racers and promoters who have made AMP a success and the AMP Series is thankful for their commitment to the series, the great shows they put on for the fans and their ability to prove that the best late model racers in the Mid-South are part of the AMP Series."

At the end of the 2008 racing season, the AMP Series Points Champion will receive a $6,000 payout if they have competed in 80% (or more) of AMP Series events during the season and owns a valid 2008 AMP membership.
