Shawn Wood SELINSGROVE, Penn. (February 28) - After last weekend's postponement of the season opener at the Hagerstown Speedway, The Dirt Track Channel.com, http://thedirttrackchannel.com is ready to bring race fans around the world the live audio webcast starting with the pre-race show at 1:20 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.
Hagerstown Speedway decided early this week to use the Sunday date to allow for additional track preparations. The forecast calls for sunny skies and highs near 50 on Sunday.
During the broadcast, The Dirt Track Channel will be making an announcement regarding additional live audio webcast dates for the 2008 season. A press release outlining the announcement will follow later Sunday night.
Sunday's race is an Octoberfest Qualifier for the late models, and the Octoberfest and Syracuse Qualifier for the big block modifieds. Each division will race in 30-lap features paying $2,000 to win. The pits open at 10 a.m., grandstand at 11 a.m. and hot laps are slated for 1 p.m. Ticket prices are $15 for general admission, $20 for reserved seats and pits while children under 12 FREE General Admission.
This will be the first of five live audio webcast from Frank Plessinger's half-mile facility for 2008. The live audio webcast features the late model and small block modifieds on March 8th and the late models and big block modifieds on the 15th. The Dirt Track Channel.com will once again present live flag-to-flag coverage of the 21st annual Octoberfest 350 on October 25th and 26th. The 2-day event features the late models, big block and small block modifieds and 410 sprint cars.
The 2008 season marks the sixth year of live audio webcast from The Dirt Track Channel.com. All webcast are free of charge and registration. Race fans can find the webcast link on the website's home page.
Fans will once again be treated to the most diversified live audio webcast line up that will include sprint cars, non-wing sprint cars, Northeast-style modifieds, midgets and late models broadcast.
