KT Racing BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (February 10) - As the 2008 racing season peeks around the corner in the Western United States, two pioneers of the Internet TV Industry find themselves in the enviable position of being "swamped with requests!" Jeff Thielscher and Vance Palm are co-founders of RealFast.TV - the first (free) Internet TV Station in the world with a regular, weekly programming schedule. RealFast.TV features local, regional and national tracks, drivers, teams and stories to their viewers.
From their studio in Bakersfield, California, RealFast.TV started Internet Broadcasting world-wide on September 25th, 2006 with their flagship show, "The Stock Car Session", welcoming two-time, NASCAR Grand National Division, West Champion, Mike Duncan as their inaugural guest. Other Guests have included NASCAR Drivers Eric Richardson (2005 Mesa Marin Track Champion), Robby Sawyer (2005 Bakersfield Speedway Track Champion), Lindsey King (NASCAR Driver Development Program) , Gary Collins (1986 Mesa Marin Track Champion and founder of the Craftsman Truck Series) ,and Dick Shepherd (13 Track Championships). From that first show, Thielscher and Palm knew they had started a groundbreaking effort to educate and inform the "genuine racing fan" - a term that Thielscher consistently inserts into the RealFast.TV landscape. They've now aired 73, consecutive, LIVE "Stock Car Sessions." "The Stock Car Session" is on at 6:00 pm PST Mondays, and LIVE coverage of the races starts March 1st at 8:30 pm PST, continuing for the entire 2008 Season.
In 2007, RealFast.TV broadcast from 8 tracks. There were 49 entire nights of racing, with 24 of those nights being broadcast LIVE. The race tracks included: Bakersfield Speedway, Kings Speedway, Kern County Speedway, Victorville Auto Raceway, Plaza Park Raceway, Buttonwillow Raceway, The Long Beach Grand Prix and Famoso Raceway.
Thielscher explains, "What Vance and I set out to do from the very beginning is give the local and regional 'weekend racers' a chance to be noticed. We want to show the real side of racing. Our production is uncut, raw footage. Understanding that the future of broadcasting is Internet TV, we invested exclusively in that technology." Palm agrees, and adds,"Certainly, there is no shortage of citizen journalists and videographers in today's media platform, but from the standpoint of accessibility to the drivers, tracks and businesses involved, we feel that our accountability to the global audience is air tight."
RealFast.TV also aired numerous special events in 2007, including the wildly successful, sold-out "Kevin Harvick Night". Kevin returned home to Bakersfield and hosted a charity event to benefit the High School Racing Series - a series that was born at Harvick's home track, Mesa Marin. The event created major funding for the series that will run at the new track in Bakersfield.
Regarding the Kern County Speedway, RealFast.TV has had unprecedented access, and has produced a 16-part series on its construction and progress. The track is scheduled to open this summer, and RealFast.TV will be the exclusive sponsor of the RealFast.TV Supermoto Series, Internet Broadcasting all the races. They also plan to deliver a reality show, featuring RealFast.TV driver, "Hurricane Heidi Tresler", a talented young driver from Victorville. Thielscher remarks on Heidi by saying, "She's a shoe. The world is going to love her and appreciate racing her talent. She'll be driving a NASCAR Late Model at the new track for KTRacingNascar.com."
In addition to everything else the two entrepreneurs are involved in, RealFast.TV is the Official Internet Broadcasting Partner of the Western Allstars Dirt Super Late Models Series. They will also be covering IMCA, NHRA, USAC Midgets, NASCAR, 360 Sprints, TR2000 Series and the Atlantic Series. The company's anchor track will remain Bakersfield Speedway, the venerable dirt track that has survived for over sixty years and has no plans on slowing down anytime soon. RealFast.TV will be Internet Broadcasting all the races LIVE from Bakersfield Speedway in 2008.
Palm states, "Bakersfield Speedway is exactly the type of venue that creates opportunities for young drivers to chase their dreams, and with RealFast.TV, the owners of the track have welcomed us with open arms. They've seen the potential for what we bring to the table: The car count continues to grow, and we feel that we've been a part of that growth. - that's a powerful marketing tool for a track owner or promoter to have."
This year www.RealFast.TV is projected to have over 2,000,000 views of the site, and the new season of "The Stock Car Session" will kick off Monday, February 11th , with Thielscher and Palm setting the scene for a big year in the Internet TV Racing World. The site is being improved upon constantly, with a larger TV screen in March. Thielscher speaks of their success in measured tones, " Back when we originated this concept, we decided to invest in the best technology in order to deliver as many shows as we could in 2007: Unmatched access, live racing and ground breaking events - " Contact: Jeff Thielscher (661) 428-0911
