ALEXANDRIA, Ark. (February 9) - The AMP Series introduces, its first female driver; 'Rachel York' from Southaven, Mississippi, during 2008.

Rachel will pilot her #11 GRT powered by Marion Performance Super Late Model at all series events this year.

The 2008 race season will mark Rachel's sixth year of competition in racing. Rachel has been racing since 2002, in lower divisions and it provided a start that would move her up to the Super Late Model field.

With 18 races under her belt in 2005 and fresh off a 2007 Rookie of the Year, a fifth place finish, in the overall points standings at Riverside International Speedway, she will be a shoe to contend with this season on the AMP Series.

Rachel is excited about her first season on the series. Her goals are to visit new tracks so she will be able to meet new promoters, visit with fans, and focus on the competing with the other AMP Series competitors.

This is a true family affair for Rachel, her husband Chuck, (who has made several laps in a Dirt Late Model himself) two daughters, Ashlen & Madison, who will be together supporting this wife and mother, who truly has a passion for speed.

Sugartown Express "Mike McNay" onboard with AMP Series during 2008

Mike competes in the Super Late Model division at track locations across the Mid South area.

Mike McNay in the'Sugartown Express' late model has been in operation for 20 years. McMay pilots the #3M Larry Shaw Chassis powered by Danny Scott Race Engines.

Spending his days as a SnapOn Tool Franchise Owner he encourages drivers from across the country to come join him at Memphis Motorsports Park as he starts his fourth year as a driving instructor for Race On Driving Experience.

McNay, the driver who describes himself as a bridesmaid and never a bride has competed side by side for the win with some of the same drivers whom he speaks highly of. Mike & his wife, Kathy have two grown children, Terri, & Kevin plus three grandchildren Nicholas, & Nathan McKee, & Berkley Addison McNay .

Mike is known to spend much of his spare time helping friends accomplish their goals and especially enjoy sharing his love of racing with the children, while being devoted to racing.

The 'Sugartown Express' missed the first five races of the 2007 season and still managed to bring home a 9th place finish in the 2007 AMP Series Final Point Standings. His racing career has taken him to compete with other competing series in the Mid South Region such as SUPR, MSCCS, UMP, & MARS.

McNay's 2008 goals are to visit new tracks, track promoters, visit with his fans, and have fellowship with other drivers, and focus on competing in the AMP Series.

Mike knows it won't be an easy task with some of the heavy hitters partiapating in the AMP Series this year, but he is focus on the competition & meeting his teams goals of competing for several wins and top 5 finish.

He spends his time racing & working in his family business, Fisher Trucking.

Continuing the family tradition, He will embark upon his second year in the AMP Series, after finishing 6th overall in the 2007 Season. At a very young age, he set his sights on speed and made no qualms about it. What started as racing 4 wheelers has culminated into full time late model racing for the second generation driver of the Fisher family.

Fisher prepares his program to run the full 2008 season with AMP after being a key member of the inaugural 2007 AMP Series season.

Clay looks forward to competing in "The Chase" provided by Blue Ridge Trailers, www.blueridgeliftgate.com and all the competition in the AMP field this season.
