Billy Drake Racing
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (February 3) - Billy Drake Racing and Billy Drake will travel to East Bay Raceway in Tampa Florida for the DART Winternationals that begins on Monday February 4th. The DART Winternationals is sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and will consist of 6 nights of racing with the final three nights counting towards the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series national points standings. Billy who finished 7th in last years Lucas Oil Series national points standings is excited to get the season started and is eager to compete for the series championship in 2008.
"I'm exited to get started at East Bay. I like that place a lot and the track and series staff are really good to work with during that week. I feel our racing program is really ready to compete for the championship this year. We have several of our sponsors coming back from last year and picked up a few new sponsors which make our program even better this year", stated Billy.
Billy Drake is also pleased to announce his plans for the upcoming 2008 racing season. Billy Drake Racing will again follow the full Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series schedule in 2008 and mix in several other crown jewel events in between the off weeks from the Lucas Oil Series. Billy coming off his 2007 campaign with the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series recorded one series win at North Alabama Speedway and finished 7th in the final championship point's standings.
