BARDSTOWN, Ky. (February 3) - For race fans needing to get a fix of Dirt Late Model racing over the television, Bluegrass Speedway track promoters David and Anita Ferrell are pleased to announce that the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series 7th Annual Bluegrass Classic will be broadcast on Saturday, February 16.

The event, contested in August of 2007, was taped by the cameras of SPEED for later broadcast. The airtime of the tape-delayed event will be on February 16 at 12:30 a.m. The event falls on the eve of the 50th running of the Great American Race, the Daytona 500, and SPEED will have pre-race Daytona preview programs throughout the evening on February 16, with the evening concluding just past midnight with the broadcast of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event from Bluegrass Speedway in Bardstown, KY. Scott Bloomquist of Mooresburg, TN would score his third consecutive win in this event back in August of 2007.

The 2008 racing season begins at Bluegrass Speedway on Saturday April 12, with an open practice, followed up with the 2008 season opening event on Saturday April 19. The cameras of SPEED will return to Bluegrass Speedway again in 2008 for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned 8th Annual Bluegrass Classic on Saturday evening, August 23.

Bluegrass Speedway is located at 2221 New Haven Road on KY Highway 31-E at exit 21 of the Martha Layne Collins Parkway.
