ARCHDALE, N.C. (January 21) - Earl Pearson Jr. and the Bobby Labonte Motorsports team are ready for the 2008 racing season to begin and have released their 2008 schedule which is now posted on their official website at www.bobbylabontemotorsports.com. Earl and the team coming off a record year winning his fourth consecutive national touring series championship is headed to familiar ground starting Wednesday January 23rd through February 3rd. Earl and the BLR team will compete in the "Super Bowl of Racing" at Golden Isles Speedway in Brunswick, GA for ten nights of competition. Earl grew up and turning many laps at the Georgia facility before moving up to the traveling series that he now competes on. "Golden Isles Speedway is considered my home track that I learned a lot at and it's only about an hour from my house. It's nice to race there so all my family and friends can attend and see me race without having to travel all over the country like I do. Frankie Lloyd has done a really great job with the track and he is putting up a lot of money for the racers to go after. I really enjoy racing there and seeing everyone that I grew up racing with", stated Earl.

Earl and the Bobby Labonte Motorsports team instantly meshed last year winning two events during the 2007 Florida speedweeks events at East Bay Raceway and Volusia Speedway Park. This year they hope to get off to a great start at Golden Isles Speedway before heading to East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa Florida for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Winternationals.

Earl and the team won a total of 10 events in 2007 including the 5 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned events. Earl would win two World Of Outlaws Late Model Series sanctioned events in 2007 including the World of Outlaws sanctioned event at the famous Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, OH in July. For Bobby Labonte and his first year dirt late model team, the 2007 racing season was very successful for his whole organization.

"Last years championship has to be one of the biggest thrills for me in racing in quite some time. It has been several years since I got back into the ownership role and I am proud to have been so successful in such a short period of time. Having Earl Pearson Jr. as the driver and Randall, Matt, and Keith on our team really has me pumped up for the 2008 season. I can tell you that when you have a great team together with their work ethic for winning, that is what it is all about, and these guys have it. I am looking forward to the challenge this year, as I know that we are going to work twice as hard to do this again", stated Bobby Labonte.

In 2008 Earl and Bobby have committed to running the full Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and defend their championship. After two seasons together as Earl's crew chief, Jason Fitzgerald is leaving Bobby Labonte Racing and returning to Jacksonville, FL. Earl's new crew chief for 2008 will be Randall Edwards, a well respected crew chief for many years in dirt late model racing.
