James Essex CORONA, Calif. (January 21) - Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Race Director Ritchie Lewis has announced the plans for a detailed and aggressive internet broadcast schedule that will include the launching of a weekly internet talk show. The first internet talk show of the season is slated to air this Tuesday, January 22nd, at 8pm (EST) on www.RaceTalkLive.com.
The Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour will air every week there is a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event during racing season and once a month during the off-season. The show will be hosted by Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Internet Broadcast Announcer Dustin Jarrett and will feature interviews with race winners, track promoters, and series officials. The fan-friendly, interactive program will also recap the previous weekend's races as well as preview upcoming Series events.
Scheduled guests for the Tuesday, January 22nd edition of the Lucas Oil Motorsports Hour include defending Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series Champion Earl Pearson Jr., defending Dream winner Steve Casebolt, former North/South 100 Champion Bart Hartman, Series Race Director Ritchie Lucas, and East Bay Raceway Park promoter Todd Hutto.
In addition, Lewis has announced that the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will be broadcasting a minimum of 20 events on the internet in 2008. While the complete internet broadcast schedule has yet to be released, fans who are unable to attend the Series' opening week at East Bay Raceway Park can once again look forward to hearing those events broadcast live via the world wide web free of charge.
"Both the weekly talk show and the live race broadcasts are great opportunities for everyone involved," said Lewis. "Fans will get the chance to hear from and interact with their favorite drivers on a weekly basis during the season, and those who are unable to attend certain races can listen to the live race broadcasts free of charge. This is also a great opportunity for sponsors to be showcased in the most rapidly growing form of media there is. To say we're excited about this great opportunity would be an understatement."
