MENOMONIE, Wisc. (November 14) - Dirt Late Model standout Jimmy Mars racked up his thirteenth feature victory of the 2007 racing season on Saturday night, November 10 at the Pike County Speedway in Magnolia, Mississippi! After running second to Scott Bloomquist in their heat race on Friday night, November 9, the Mars Racing team nailed the setup on their Deppe Enterprises / T.L. Sinz Plumbing / Baileigh Industrial / Keyes Chevytown #28 MasterSbilt / Pro Power Monte Carlo on Saturday evening.

The driver known as the "Iceman" started the 'Jambalaya 100' from the outside of the second row and found the point on lap ten, as he passed race leader Billy Moyer. Jimmy went on to lead the next ninety laps to record the $30,000 payday ahead of James Ward, Billy Moyer, David Ashley, and Scott Bloomquist. The 'Jambalaya 100' triumph was Jimmy's second biggest win of the season trailing only his $46,000 'Topless 100' victory at the Batesville (AR) Speedway back in August. "That was a great way to end our year," exclaimed Mars after claiming the $30,000 top prize. "Even though the track wasn't very racy after the opening laps, the tire game was still very critical. There were a lot of different tire combinations out there and ours got the job done. I have to thank my brother Chris (Mars), the whole crew, and of course all of our great sponsors for their loyalty and support not only in Mississippi, but throughout the 2007 racing season."

Jimmy will travel out west this coming weekend to drive Jess Anderson's #H2 MasterSbilt from Mars entry at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada. The annual 'Duel in the Desert' will take place at LVMS this weekend and a $5,000 winner's share awaits the victor. Qualifying and heat race action will highlight the night on Friday, November 16, while consolation races and the 40-lap A-Main are scheduled for Saturday evening. Jimmy, who hails out of Menomonie, Wisconsin, won a pair of Western Allstars Series races in Las Vegas with Anderson's equipment back in early March.
