A four-time feature winner over the course of the 2009 IMCA Late Model tour, Jeff Aikey of Waterloo, Iowa, earned his career sixth Deery Brothers Summer Series championship. A close race for the national IMCA Late Model title ended with Kevin Blum atop the point standings. The winner of 16 feature races during the regular season, the Colona, Ill., hotshoe also won Quad City Raceway and Smiley's Racing Products Illinois state titles. Joining Blum during the national awards banquet Nov. 28 in Lincoln, Neb., are  IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root at left and Bill Smith of Speedway Motors at right.

The top rookie driver in national IMCA Late Model point standings was Ryan Giles of West Des Moines, Iowa. At 19, he's the youngest driver ever to earn freshman honors in the class and is pictured with IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root at left and Division Director Josh McGowan at right during the Nov. 28 IMCA awards banquet in Lincoln, Neb.

Justin Kay of Wheatland, Iowa, collected rookie of the year honors in the Deery Brothers Summer Series. Kay qualified for 15 of the 20 events in the 2009 IMCA Late Model tour, finishing ninth in final point standings. His award was presented during the Nov. 28 IMCA banquet in Lincoln, Neb., by IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root at left and Division Director Josh McGowan at right.
