Bill Martin ALLISON, Iowa (May 14) - The fifth stop of the 2008 tour takes the Deery Brothers Summer Series for J & J Steel Late Models to Highway 3 Raceway at Allison for a Wednesday, May 21 show.
Pit gates open at 5 p.m., hot laps are at 6:30 p.m. and racing starts at 7 p.m. The main event pays $2,000 to win and a minimum of $250 to start.
Grandstand admission is $14 for adults and $6 for kids ages 6-12. Five and under will get in free. Pit passes are $25.

Todd Cooney of Des Moines has maintained the tour point lead since winning the series-opening show at Eagle, Neb., Raceway.
He's since been followed to victory lane by a trio of first-time winners, Mike Collins of Council Bluffs, Andy Nezworski of Buffalo and Denny Woodworth of Mendon, Ill.
Two previous Deery races have been held at Allison. Curt Martin of Independence won there in 2006, while Terry Neal of Ely took the 2007 checkers.
The series is at Boone Speedway on Monday, May 26, Memorial Day.
Schoenfeld awards to IMCA special events drivers
VAN BUREN, Ark. (May 14) - Schoenfeld Headers contingency awards go to drivers in six IMCA divisions competing at designated special events this season.
The Van Buren, Ark., company, manufacturer of the official muffler for IMCA, will give $50 product certificates at 80 designated specials for J & J Steel Late Models, Modifieds, KSE Racing Products Sprint Cars, Karl Chevrolet Northern SportMods, Southern SportMods and Sunoco Stock Cars.
Among the events those awards will be given are all 17 races in the Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models and all 11 races in the Jackpot Junction Sprint Car Tour.
Drivers in all six divisions, when required to run a noise reduction system, must compete with the IMCA stamped 609 Schoenfeld muffler to be eligible.
"Schoenfeld has been a part of IMCA racing for a decade now and their headers and mufflers are as good as it gets in the industry," said Kevin Yoder, director of marketing for IMCA. "Supporting sanctioned special events has been their way of giving back to the racing community and thanking IMCA racers for the support of their products."
