Billy Moyer Victorious in Exciting Legit Blue Moon Madness Finale for $3,000
 
BATESVILLE, ARK (October 22) - "Mr. Smooth" Billy Moyer racked up his twelfth feature win of the 2015 racing season in exciting fashion on Saturday evening, October 17 at Legit Speedway Park in West Plains, Missouri! Billy won his heat race from the seventh starting spot and later rolled off from the inside of the second row in the unsanctioned main event. After running second much of the distance, Billy was able to sweep around leader Terry Phillips on the final turn to record the $3,000 triumph. Finishing behind Moyer's famous #21 at the checkers were Phillips, Kyle Beard, Jesse Stovall, and Jeremy Payne!
 
A night earlier, the #21 BMR team unloaded at the venerable West Plains oval to vie for the $2,000 top prize in the 'Legit Blue Moon Madness' opener. Billy moved up to second in his heat race prior to starting the A-Main from the outside of the third row. The Batesville, Arkansas star then wound up finishing right where he started the weekend lid lifter... in the sixth spot behind only victor Terry Phillips, Jeremy Payne, Tim Manville, Josh Hughes, and Jesse Stovall. The Billy Moyer Racing (BMR) team will now turn their focus to Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi on October 23-24 for the 21st Annual 'Coors Light Fall Classic.' Qualifying and heat races for the unsanctioned special will be held on Friday night, while consolation events and the 100-lap feature will cap off the weekend on Saturday evening. The winner at Whynot this weekend will receive $15,000 for their efforts, while each main event starter will claim at least $1,000. Billy finished fifth in last year's biggie at Whynot Motorsports Park and is always a fixture towards the front in this race.
