Rod Conley Climbs to Podium Effort at Reconfigured Southern Ohio Speedway WHEELERSBURG, OH (October 15) - Rod Conley ventured literally right down the road to the reconfigured Southern Ohio Speedway in Wheelersburg, Ohio on Saturday evening, October 10 for a $1,500 to win weekly Super Late Model program. Rod won his heat race in preliminary action and later started the main event from the inside of the fifth row. "Hot Rod" was on the move early and often during the headliner, as he picked off six competitors en route to a steady third place performance behind only victor Jackie Boggs and runner-up Greggie Oliver. Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) will now look to defend their home turf against the national Dirt Late Model stars in this coming weekend's 'Dirt Track World Championship.' The crown jewel extravaganza, which will be held on October 16-17 at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio, will be sanctioned by the ultra-competitive Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and will boast a whopping $100,000 winner's check. Double heat races will kick things off on the banks of the Ohio River on Friday night, while consolation events and the 100-lap DTWC headliner are scheduled for Saturday evening.
With J.T. Conley already done for the year, Delmas, Rod, and R.J. Conley are scheduled to fly the CMI banner this weekend at PRP. All three drivers were able to transfer into last year's edition of the 'Dirt Track World Championship' and will look to duplicate that feat this season.
