Jimmy Mars Closes Out 2015 Season with $4,000 Red Clay Classic Triumph
 
MENOMONIE, WISC (October 8) - Jimmy Mars, of Menomonie, Wisconsin, recorded his fifth career 'Red Clay Classic' WISSOTA Late Model title on Saturday evening, October 3 at ABC Raceway in Ashland, Wisconsin! Driving his father-in-law Paul Gilberts' #21 MB Customs mount, Jimmy won his heat race on Friday night during preliminary action and later drew the third starting spot for Saturday's 50-lap headliner. Jimmy then grabbed the lead around the lap five mark of the 'Red Clay Classic' and controlled the field to pick up the $4,000 winner's check over Pat Doar, Chad Mahder, John Kaanta, and Darrell Nelson! "It was a lot of fun to race in the Red Clay Classic again and I can't thank my father-in-law enough for the opportunity to drive his equipment," exclaimed Mars. "The car was excellent all weekend. I was able to grab the lead early in the feature and things just worked out for us to end the season in victory lane. Arizona will be here before you know it and we have a lot of work to do in the shop building new cars before January, so we are probably done for the year. Following the season-ending victory at ABC Raceway, Jimmy wound up posting six (6) victories, sixteen (16) Top Five finishes, and twenty-four (24) Top Ten performances in the forty-three (43) races that he entered in 2015. The popular driver known as the "Iceman" knocked down wins on the UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals tour, as well as with the Corn Belt Clash Late Model Series and the American Late Model Series. Jimmy's 2015 triumphs are listed below:
