Dennis Erb Racing Heads to Eldora Speedway on Heels of Long Labor Day Weekend CARPENTERSVILLE, ILL (September 10) - The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series took Dennis Erb Racing to the states of Ohio and West Virginia from September 4-6 for a trio of high-profile Labor Day weekend shootouts. Things kicked off in the Buckeye State with a pair of $10,000 to win shows on Friday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio and on Saturday at Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. Dennis Erb, Jr. ran fifth in his heat race at Attica prior to winning his B-Main and moving all the way up to seventh in the 50-lap headliner. In the 'Pepsi 50 River Days Rumble' at PRP, Dennis scored a victory in his heat race, but motor problems during the 50-lapper dropped him to a disappointing seventeenth place showing.
The triple shot of LOLMDS competition then wrapped up on Sunday night with the annual running of the 'Hillbilly Hundred' at I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia. The Labor Day weekend mainstay boasted a hefty $25,000 windfall. Dennis clicked off the seventh fastest lap in Group A and later grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his heat race. Unfortunately, the Carpentersville, Illinois ace drew a lap 29 yellow flag following an incident with Brandon Sheppard and wound up twenty-second in the final rundown of the 100-lap grind. He now sits seventh in the latest version of the LOLMDS point battle following the hectic holiday weekend. Complete results can be viewed online at

All eyes in the #28 camp are now firmly focused on the upcoming 45th Annual 'World 100' on September 10-12 at the hallowed high banks of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The three-day crown jewel spectacular will start with a pair of Twin 25s on both Thursday and Friday, with $5,000 earmarked for the winner of each 25-lapper. Saturday's portion of the program will once again feature heat races, consolation events, and the 'World 100.' A total of $318,850 will be available for "The Biggest Dirt Race in the World™," with $48,000 going to the winner of the 100-lap extravaganza.
