Brandon Kinzer Earns Top Five at KLMS; Readies for Busy Labor Day Weekend

ALLEN, KY (September 3) - Brandon Kinzer and his #18 team ventured to western Kentucky from August 27-29 to compete in a trio of special events at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky and Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky. Things kicked off on Thursday at PIR with the $5,000 to win 'USA World 50,' which was sanctioned by the MARS DIRTcar Series. Brandon ran sixth in his heat race, which lined him up starting the 50-lap headliner from the inside of the ninth row. The Allen, Kentucky ace then had a solid run going in the feature until suffering a flat tire with about 15 laps remaining, which relegated him to an eleventh place performance in the attrition-filled race.

At KLMS over the weekend, the Southern All Stars Dirt Racing Series (SAS) rolled into the Commonwealth to preside over a pair of shootouts. On Friday night, Brandon clicked off the third fastest lap in his group during time trials prior to moving up to fourth in the $4,000 to win main event to finish behind only winner Billy Moyer, Jr., Ashley Newman, and Riley Hickman. In the weekend finale on Saturday evening, which boasted a $5,000 payday, BK qualified ninth quickest in his group, but was an early retiree in the main event and settled for a twenty-fourth place effort. Complete results from the triple shot can be accessed online at www.marsracingseries.com and www.sasdirt.com.

Kinzer Motorsports is scheduled to tackle two more Kentucky venues on September 3-4. Later tonight, 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky will welcome the Southern Nationals Bonus Series to town, as a $3,000 top prize will be on the line. In addition, the completion of the rain-postponed Spring Nationals Series feature from early April will also take place tonight at 201. Brandon will roll off at the tail of the $4,000 to win main event, as he relied on a series provisional. The Labor Day holiday weekend will then wrap up for the #18 team on Friday evening at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky with another $3,000 to win Southern Nationals Bonus Series program.
