Rod Conley Lengthens Atomic Speedway Point Lead with $2,000 Victory

WHEELERSBURG, OH (September 3) - Rod Conley, of Wheelersburg, Ohio, racked up his fourth feature win of the 2015 racing season on Saturday night, August 29 at Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio! Rod won his heat race in preliminary action and later led flag-to-flag in the main event to pocket the $2,000 top prize. "Hot Rod," who is the current track point leader, beat Jason Montgomery, Chris Garnes, Greggie Oliver, and Chad Smith to the checkers at the former K-C Raceway!

Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Delmas Conley was also in competition on Saturday evening, but at the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio. Delmas set Fast Time during the qualifying session to earn the pole position for the $2,000 to win weekly main event. The patriarch of the racing Conley family then led early in the feature before settling for a strong runner-up effort behind only victor Kenny Christy. Complete results from both racetracks can be accessed online at www.atomicspeedway.net and www.portsraceway.com.

The Labor Day holiday weekend for Conley Motorsports, Inc. (CMI) will kick off later tonight, September 3 at 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky. The Southern Nationals Bonus Series will roll into 201 and Rod, R.J., and J.T. Conley are all scheduled to vie for the $3,000 winner's check. In addition, all three drivers are locked into the rain-postponed Spring Nationals Series main event from early April, which will also be held tonight and will pay $4,000 to the winner.

On Saturday, September 5, all four CMI drivers will descend upon the nearby Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio for the annual running of the 'Pepsi 50 River Days Rumble.' The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will once again sanction the single-day shootout at PRP and a $10,000 payday will be on the line.
