Tony Jackson Jr. Wins at Outlaw; Springfield Next

LEBANON, Missouri (June 16) –Tony Jackson Jr. overcame a stout field of MARS and CCSDS competitors in his Henryetta Ford #56 Black Diamond by Club 29/Cornett Racing Engine Super Late Model to claim the $3,000 victory on Friday evening at Outlaw Motor Speedway.

The COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) and Mid America Racing Series (MARS) drivers clashed in a $3,000-to-win affair at Outlaw Motor Speedway (Muskogee, Oklahoma) on Friday evening. A heat race win sent Tony to the 40 lap finale. He stalked leaders, Will Vaught and Randy Timms, before surging to the lead late in the race. Once out front he raced to his third win of the year. Jack Sullivan, Robert Baker, Clay Fisher, and Justin Asplin completed the top five.

“I hated to see Will (Vaught) and Randy (Timms) run into bad luck there, but I guess it’s all part of the game,” said Jackson Jr. “We’ve had our fair share of misfortune this year, so it was nice to be no the other end of the spectrum for a change. We had a really good car and to claim a win against such a strong field of cars feels really great.”

Saturday night’s scheduled MARS event at Longdale Speedway (Longdale, Oklahoma) was nixed by rain.

This Saturday, June 20th the team will travel to Springfield Raceway (Springfield, Missouri) for a $2,000-to-win, MARS event.
