Bub McCool Sweeps another Weekend; LOLMDS at Magnolia Nextby Ben Shelton
VICKSBURG, MS (June 9) – Bub McCool made history over the weekend in his McCool Logging #57J RBT Motorsports/Club 29 Race Car/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model by sweeping the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS) events to become the first driver to ever win five-straight, tour events.
Bub McCool continued his 2015 racing season by making the trip to Hattiesburg Motorsports Park (Hattiesburg, Mississippi) on Friday night for an MSCCS race. With a field of twenty-two Super Late Models entered, Bub started the night by setting the fast time in qualifying. He went on to win the dash to earn the pole position for the feature. In the finale McCool never looked back as he went on to score the $2,000 payday, beating out Chad Thrash, Brian Rickman, Jeremy Broadus and Eddie Rickman in the 40-lap feature.
The following night brought Bub to Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi) for another MSCCS event. It didn't take long for Bub to continue his win streak. After setting fast time and winning his dash, McCool captured another victory in the finale. Ray Moore, Brian Rickman, Josh Putman and Chad Thrash rounded out the top five finishers. This victory marked Bub McCool's fifth MSCCS win in a row and sixth win on the 2015 season.
“I just can’t say enough about this team, and the car that they provide me every night,” said McCool with a smile. “It’s really cool to become the first driver to win five MSCCS races in a row. Hopefully we can keep the streak rolling.”
